Spikenard Essential is an amber colored essential oil that is steam distilled from the dried roots of the plant. This is a rare essential oil. Historically, it is considered as a highly spiritual oil that helps to enhance devotion. This oil promotes the spirit of generosity -- for those who feel compassionate towards seeing others experience pain and sufferings, this oil can be comforting for them. Roman perfumers used spikenard in the preparation of scented oils for celebrities. Contraindications: It is generally a Non-toxic, non-irritating, non-sensitizing and non-phototoxic oil. However, there are no measurement recommended levels in cosmetic creams or perfumes.
